CARM Therapies has a HICAPS instant Health Fund Claiming terminal!

At CARM Therapies, all of our Accredited Allied Health Practitioners/Therapists are recognised Health Fund Providers, and as such, have provider numbers for all major (and most minor) health funds.
The clinic is able to process your Health Fund Claim on the spot via our HICAPS Terminal, which provides an instant rebate to eligible clients. All we require is your Health Fund Card and the machine does the rest!

How do I know if I can get an instant rebate?
If you have Private Health Insurance, and have Acupuncture/Remedial Massage included in your extras package, you should be eligible to receive a rebate. If you are not sure, simply contact your Health Fund and ask them to confirm if you are covered and whether you can process your claim via the HICAPS system.

How much rebate will I receive?
Every Health Fund has different rules for different levels of cover, so it is advisable to speak to your Health Fund Provider to find out how much rebate you should receive, and or, how many treatments you are able to claim.

How do I pay the Gap?
Once your claim has been processed and approved, the ‘gap’ amount will be displayed by the HICAPS terminal. This amount can be paid via Credit Card (VISA/MasterCard), EFT or Cash.
The gap amount is payable at the time of treatment.

It is a requirement for all allied health practitioners/therapists providing treatments for Health Fund claiming, and using a HICAPS system, to have individual provider recognition, and to provide a receipt that clearly shows the correct treating practitioner as the provider of the treatment being claimed.
It is also a legal requirement that the clinic put through the claim corresponding to the correct person on the health fund card, who has received the treatment. We cannot process claims using a spouse, or other person on the health fund card, as this is fraudulent use of the claiming system. Any clinic/practitioner that is found to be providing fraudulent information for the purpose of health fund claims, will immediately have their provider recognition revoked, and be removed from all associations listings they may have.
